چکیده
Superconducting proximity junctions made of topological insulator (TI) nanoribbons (NRs) provide a useful platform for studying superconductivity. We report on the fabrication and measurement Josephson (JJs) using Sb doped Bi$_2$Se$_3$ NRs in contact with Al electrodes. Aharonov$-$Bohm Altshuler$-$Aronov$-$Spivak oscillations axial magneto-conductance TI NR were observed, indicating existence metallic surface states along circumference NR. observed supercurrent JJ subharmonic gap structures differential conductance due to multiple Andreev reflections. The interface transparency JJs estimated based excess current reaches $\tau$ = 0.83, which is among highest values reported JJs. temperature dependence critical consistent short ballistic junction model confirming formation highly transparent superconducting contacts Our observations would be exploring effects NRs.

Topological insulator nanowires and nanoribbons.
Recent theoretical calculations and photoemission spectroscopy measurements on the bulk Bi(2)Se(3) material show that it is a three-dimensional topological insulator possessing conductive surface states with nondegenerate spins, attractive for dissipationless electronics and spintronics applications. Nanoscale topological insulator materials have a large surface-to-volume ratio that can manifes...
متن کاملAharonov-Bohm interference in topological insulator nanoribbons.
Topological insulators represent unusual phases of quantum matter with an insulating bulk gap and gapless edges or surface states. The two-dimensional topological insulator phase was predicted in HgTe quantum wells and confirmed by transport measurements. Recently, Bi(2)Se(3) and related materials have been proposed as three-dimensional topological insulators with a single Dirac cone on the sur...
متن کاملFull counting statistics of multiple Andreev reflections.
We derive the full distribution of transmitted particles through a superconducting point contact of arbitrary transparency under voltage bias. The charge transport is dominated by multiple Andreev reflections. The counting statistics is a multinomial distribution of processes, in which multiple charges ne (n=1,2,3, ...) are transferred through the contact. For zero temperature we obtain analyti...
متن کاملDynamical coulomb blockade of multiple Andreev reflections.
We analyze the dynamical Coulomb blockade of multiple Andreev reflections (MAR) in a superconducting quantum point contact coupled to a macroscopic impedance. We find that at very low transmission the blockade scales as n2 with n = Int(2delta/eV), where V is the bias voltage and delta is the superconducting gap, as it would correspond to the occurrence of shots of charge ne. For higher transmis...
